Questions answered.
When will I get my leggings?
This is a precision-engineered production run. We are currently finalizing our European material science and lab testing to ensure a 100% non-toxic product. Waitlist members will receive bi-weekly production updates and 48-hour early access to the shop before we go public.
How much will they cost?
Retail price: $128. Founding members (first 3,000 on waitlist) receive special pricing. Join the waitlist for details.
What makes PUR different from "sustainable" activewear?
Most "sustainable" brands use recycled polyester (rPET), which is still plastic and often contains more BPA than virgin polyester (2x higher median levels). We use bio-compatible natural and plant-derived materials that are lab-tested for zero endocrine disruptors.
We're not just reducing environmental impact. We're eliminating chemical exposure to your body.
Will they actually perform like premium activewear?
Our goal is the same sculpt, compression, and moisture-wicking without the petrochemicals. We're using 28-gauge circular knit construction (medical-grade density) and bio-based elastane engineered for recovery and stretch.
Honest use-case: Best for Pilates, yoga, strength training, and daily wear. Not optimized for marathon running or high-sweat cardio (natural fibers absorb more moisture than synthetics).
How do I know they're actually chemical-free?
Every production run is tested by independent third-party labs for BPA, PFAS, and phthalates. We publish the lab reports showing "non-detect" results. If a run doesn't pass, we don't ship it.
What's bio-based elastane?
Bio-based elastane is stretch fiber derived from renewable plant sources rather than petroleum. It provides the same performance as conventional spandex/Lycra but with significantly lower environmental impact and verified non-toxicity.
We're sourcing elastane that's Cradle to Cradle certified for material health, meaning it's been independently verified as safe and biodegradable. Unlike standard petroleum-based spandex, it breaks down after disposal.
Where are they made?
We are finalizing production with top-tier European manufacturers that meet our strict chemical-free and environmental standards. Final facility details will be released to the waitlist prior to public launch.
What if they don't fit?
We're still finalizing our return policy, but plan to offer size exchanges within 30 days. Founding member pricing may be final sale to protect margins on the pilot run.
We'll have detailed sizing guides and fit videos before launch to minimize returns.
Can I leave the waitlist?
Yes. You can unsubscribe from waitlist updates at any time. There is no purchase obligation when joining the waitlist.
Will there be other colors besides black?
The launch color is "Deep Onyx" black. If demand is strong, we'll introduce additional muted earth tones (terracotta, sage, cream) using non-toxic dyes.
Are you going to make tops / sports bras / shorts?
Yes, if the legging proves demand. Our roadmap includes sports bras and tops, but we're validating the market with one core product first. Join the waitlist to influence future product development.
I have PCOS / endometriosis / fertility issues. Will this help?
We cannot make medical claims. PUR eliminates exposure to endocrine disruptors found in conventional activewear, but we cannot claim it will fix hormonal conditions.
What we can say: Reducing chemical exposure is one variable in a complex hormonal ecosystem. Consult with your doctor about environmental toxin reduction as part of your health strategy.
What if I'm skeptical about the science?
Good. We built an entire page citing peer-reviewed studies, independent lab testing, and legal actions against major brands.
